China donates $ 200,000 for flood relief

ISLAMABAD—The Chinese government on Saturday donated acheque to Pakistan amounting two hundred thousand dollar for flood reliefpurpose.
The signing ceremony regarding the handing over the foresaid cheque washeld here in Economic Affairs Division (EAD). Ambassador of People's Republic of China to Pakistan Zhang Chunxiang and Secretary EAD Khalid Saeed signed on behalf of their respective governments.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador said Pakistan and China are time tested friends so Chinese government and its people decided to provide this amount to express friendly sentiments with Pakistan and to help overcoming the difficulties in flood disaster areas.
He said, " it is not a big amount but it demonstrates our sympathies with the people of flood-hit areas of Pakistan". Secretary EAD thanked the Chinese government and people of China for this kind gesture and said China always came first to assist Pakistan at any critical time.—Agencies
