Indonesian scholar visits IIUI

ISLAMABAD—Dr. Haji Abdullah Syukri Zarkasi, Head, Ulema Council of Indonesia and Director, Darussalam Islamic Centre for Teaching of Hadith, visited the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and called on Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari, President IIUI, Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, Vice President (Admin), Dr. Khalifa Hasan, Vice President (Academic) and Dr. Abdul Khaliq Kazi, Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies.
30 Indonesian students of Dr. Zakasi's Centre are already enrolled in various study programmes at IIUI while efforts are underway to increase their number in next admission season. Dr. Zakasi asked the University administration to help Indonesian students in getting NOC from the Pakistani ministry of interior and welcome students from Indonesia who love to study in Pakistan. Making a comparison of the cost of education in Pakistan and Indonesia, he revealed that education in Pakistan is better standard wise and reasonable financially. He said that education expenses in Pakistan are equal to the half of that in Indonesia .
About his visit of the University, Dr. Zakasi said that the logic of my visit is strengthening diplomatic relations between two brotherly countries through academic ties.
Dr. Zafar Ishaq Ansari, President IIUI, assured the visiting dignitary of his full cooperation in getting maximum number of Indonesian students admitted in IIUI.
