Pak team due on Tuesday after dismal tour of UK

 KARACHI—Pakistan cricket team is due to return home from Tuesday afternoon after a disastrous three-month tour of United Kingdom.
Except for Rana Naved-ul-Hasan all the players be landing at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport and fly to their respective destinations by connecting flights, a spokesman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Monday. Rana Naved will be appearing in the one-day final for his county Sussex.
He dispelled the impression that some important members of the team would be staying back in England and return home later.
All the players including skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq his deputy Younis Khan will be flying home by Emirates Airline flight on Tuesday, he confirmed.
Pakistan team lost the four match Test series 0-3 and while five match One-Day International series ended in 2-2 stalemate with opening day/night match at Sophia Gardens Cardiff was abandoned due to rains.
Pakistan suffered a massive innings defeat in the second Test at Old Trafford Manchester inside three days while Pakistan surrendered the series after losing the third Test match at Headlingley Leeds by 167 runs.
Opening Test of the series ended in a draw at Lords, London while England were awarded fourth and final Test at the Oval was awarded to England after ball-tampering row between Pakistan team and Australian umpire Darrell Hair.
Pakistan Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is facing twin ball tampering charges and bringing the game into disrepute by not initially arriving in the ground after tea on the fourth day of final cricket Test on August 20 after umpire Hair and Billy Doctrove imposed five penalty runs.
The hearing of International Cricket Council (ICC) will be held at Dubai on September 27-28 regarding alleged ball tampering charges against Inzamam.—APP
