Quaid's death anniversary observed

KARACHI—The Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim with members of the provincial cabinet visited the Quaid's mausoleum on Sunday on the eve of his 58th death anniversary, where they offered fateha and laid floral wreath.
Speaking to newsmen after offering fateha at the Quaid's mausoleum, Governor Sindh Dr Ibad said the day gave the message to us that striving for the progress and prosperity of the country by materialising the Quaid's vision was the national duty of every individual of the nation.
He said, "All of us must pledge today that we would make the Pakistan a modern, democratic and welfare state by following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Meanwhile, City Nazim Mustafa Kamal, Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil, representatives of the three armed services, leaders of different political parties and social organizations also visited the Quaid's mausoleum, where they offered fateha and laid floral wreaths.
Pakistan Navy held 'Quran Khani' for the rest and peace of the soul of the founder of the nation here at the mausoleum.
People from all walks of life turned out in large numbers to salute to the achievements of their leader.
