18 injured as bomb rocks Quetta

QUETTA—At least eighteen people were injured, two of them critically, while several vehicles and shops were partially damaged in a bomb blast near Junction Chowk on Shawaksha Road¸ police said on Sunday.
“The bomb planted on a bicycle went off at 0905 hrs near a restaurant on Shawaksha Road,” a police official at Gualmandi police station told inp.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, he said that eighteen people sustained injuries in the blast.
Bomb disposal squad and police officials rushed to the spot on the reports of the blasts and have started investigations. According to initial investigations the bomb was local made and planted to a bicycle, parked near a restaurant, owned by a person belonging to Multan.
Eyewitnesses said at least four shops, three restaurants and two vehicles were partially damaged in the blast, while windows of nearby buildings were smashed.
Hospital sources said they received 18 people, who sustained injuries in the blast. They said two f the inured were in critical condition.
Police identified those sustained injuries as: Rifat Bibi, Mohammad Nomi, Qamar, Masti Khan, Mohammad Ibrahim, Babu Murad, Noor Ahmad, Qadir, Mohammad Aslam, Babar, Raza Mohammad, Mohammad haleem, Mohammad Waleed, Ghazi Abdul Raheem and others.—Inp
