Torkham-Jalalabad Highway to be opened on 14th

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan and Afghanistan after mutual consultation delayed the inauguration ceremony of Torkham-Jalalabad Highway for two days.
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz now would inaugurate Torkham-Jalalabad Highway on September 14 and would deliver an important address on the occasion.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai, ministers and senior officials of both the countries would also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister on the occasion would announce to make Torkham-Jalalabad Highway to four-lanes from two-lanes which would cost Rs. 2 billion and like the first road would handed over to Afghan government as a gift from Pakistan.—Online
