World number 27 Shahid Zaman from Quetta faced a stiff challenge ChrisSimpson of England before chalking out 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 victory.
The main rounds of Super series event Saudi International carrying US$ 130,000 prize money will be played at Al-Khobar from December 16-20.
