Nation celebrates Defence Day with traditional zeal

ISLAMABAD—The nation on Wednesday celebrated 41st Defence Day with traditional zeal and solemnity.
The day started with special prayers in mosques for prosperity of the country after Fajr prayers.
Floral wreaths were laid on graves of the soldiers martyred in war.
Fauji Melas were held in Rawalpindi and other parts of the country with an exhibition of defence equipment for the interest of general public.
A special ceremony was held at PAF Masroor base in Karachi in which PAF pilots demonstrated their professional skills with an aerial show.
An exhibition of Pakistan Air Force equipment was also held.
The change of guards ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid as the cadets of PAF Risalpur Academy, took over the guards duty at Quaid's mausoleum.
Special programmes were held at Quetta, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Peshawar to celebrate the defence day.
