Agha Shahi passes away

ISLAMABAD—Former Foreign Minister Agha Shahi has passed away, says a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.
He was a great internationalist who espoused and promoted the interests of peace and human rights in the world.
In their separate condolence message, Prime Minster Shaukat Aziz and President Musharraf have expressed sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Agha Shahi who was an outstanding diplomat and made valuable contribution in formulating Pakistan's foreign policy first as civil servant and later as country's Foreign Minister.
While lauding his services, they said that Agha Shahi had vast experience in bilateral and multilateral diplomacy and made his mark within the country and abroad through his deep and perceptive understanding of international relations.
They maintained that he would be long remembered for his dedicated services to the country.
