NBF reader club scheme from 7th

ISLAMABAD—National Book Foundation (NBF) will launch readers Club Scheme on September 7, at 9:30 am.
Federal Minister for Education Javed Ashraf Qazi will inaugurate the scheme. MD, NBF, Ghiasudin Ahmad, Incharge Readers Club Nuzhat Akbar will also be present at the event.
NBF has also extended working range of Readers Club Scheme due to its popularity. At the time of its beginning in 1984 it was limited only at three big cities Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. Later on, it was extended to 37 cities of country.
Now, when its members are more than 15000, which are being increased to 20000 in view of the demand of members and other peoples.
This scheme had been extended to 47 important cities of country like Sibbi, Khuzdar, Loralai, Dera Murad Jamali, Turbat, Nawabshah, Dado, Khushab, Burewala, Dera Ismail Khan, Chitral, Kohat, Swat, Mirpur Khas and Muzafrabad Azad Kashmir.
The MD NBF Ghiasuddin Ahmad said the best arrangements have done for the persons apply for membership particularly for old people, women, and children to avoid any problems.
The importance of this scheme is this that its member can purchase any book, which he likes, other than curriculum from booksellers who are on the penal of NBF on half rates, he noted.
It is one of the best scheme to promote book culture, he maintained, adding that the Private sector should collaborate with government in this connection for book promotional habits.
