Foreign hand likely behind Balochistan unrest: President
—pushes for dialogue process in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD—President Musharraf convened a high-Ranking meeting on Balochistan issues in The President House, and approved numerous decisions in this regard.
The decisions also favor starting the dialogue process all over again while it has also been decided to carry on the work on ongoing projects for development of the Province.
It has also decided to keep on taking severe action against miscreants and saboteurs.
The high-ranking meeting was attended by such high ranks as Governor Balochistan Awais Ghani, Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Muhammad Yousaf, President PML, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, former PM, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali, Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, secretary general PML, Mushahid Hussain Syed, members of the Balochistan Cabinet, and major leaders of PML.
The Governor and CM Balochistan gave a detailed briefing on the law and order situation in the Province in the after math of killing of Akbar Khan Bugti, while President Musharraf strongly derided the miscreants and troublemakers who were creating problems and declared them as opportunistic offenders, who want to gain political leverage out of the crisis.
He directed the meeting to speed up all the developmental projects, worth Rs. 135 billion, which would usher in an era of prosperity for the Province. He specifically directed the Interior Minister Sherpao to take effective measures for law and order situation in the Province, and deal sternly with elements that endeavor to take law into their hands.
President Musharraf also directed to ensure the implementation of recommendations of Parliamentary Committee, and said that Baloch masses were fed up with the Sardari system and government would do all possible to rid the Province of the system.
He also vowed to take stern action against miscreants and saboteurs and promised an amnesty to those who surrendered under goodwill.
Meanwhile, Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali recommended that further use of power should be eschewed and dialogue should be adopted for a conducive solution of the crisis.
The meeting also decided that all political elements, working under the direction of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain Syed would coordinate with Balochistan "nationalist elements" and opposition for a conducive and peaceful dialogue.
