SC directs IGP Balochistan to recover kidnapped children

ISLAMABAD—A two-member bench of the Supreme Court Mondaydirected the Inspector General Police in Balochistan to ensure recovery of 42 children reportedly kidnapped in three months from various localities ofQuetta.
The court, which has taken suo moto notice of news reports about the kidnapping incidents, directed the IGP to submit a detailed report by September 15.
The bench, comprising Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Justice Abdul Hamid Dogar, asked the police to take strict measures to curb the crime.
Assistance Advocate general Balochistan Malik Sultan Mahmood and advocate M. Bilal advocate earlier submitted a report to the bench.
