BNP announces to quit assemblies

QUETTA—Balochistan National Party (BNP) Mengal group has announced to resign from senate, national assembly, Balochistan assembly and district assemblies.
This was said by former chief minister of Balochistan and president BNP (Mengal group) Sardar Akhtar Mengal while addressing a rally here Sunday.
“We want to remain with Pakistan no more. We don’t need such assembly, senate and constitution which don’t provide any protection to Balochis”, he declared. Had Sunday not fallen today I would have handed over resignations of Balochistan assembly members belonging to my party to the speaker, he added.
The parliament and provincial assembly strength of BNP includes one senator Sanaullah Baloch in Senate, one seat of Rauf Mengal in National Assembly and two seats of Akhtar Langoo and Akbar Mengal in provincial assembly.—Online
