'Public, police cooperation can eliminate crimes from society'

RAWALPINDI—Social, moral and heinous crimes could be eliminated from the society with the mutual cooperation of public and police.
This was stated by the advisor to chief minister Punjab, Muhammad Nasir Raja while speaking at the gold medal and reward distribution ceremony held to encourage the police officers who rendered their services for maintaining law and order in the district.
District Nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas, regional police officer Syed Marwat Ali Shah, DPO Saud Aziz, nazim Photohar town Hamid Nawaz, president Rawalpindi chamber of commerce Abdul Jalil Malik and president Bara market Zahid Abbas were also present on the occasion.
Muhammad Nasir said that the chief minister had allocated billions of rupees to bring the police on modern lines and provide them with all facilities.
District nazim Raja Javed Ikhlas said that the Rawalpindi police have always achieved their targets despite limited resources.
Syed Marwat Ali Shah said that police wanted to bring the society closer.
DPO Saud Aziz said that arresting the accused involved in abduction for ransom was not an easy task. He handed over Rs. 0.3 million to the father of the killed Bilal who was abducted for ransom.
Meanwhile, the Bara market traders conferred gold medals and cash prizes on the officers and jawans of Rawalpindi police.
