Incomplete quorum compels Speaker to adjourn session till Monday evening

ISLAMABAD, Sept 1 (Online): Speaker National Assembly Ch Amir Hussain has adjourned the session till Monday evening after failure by the government to complete the quorum. Muttahida Majlis Amal members after pinpointing of the quorum walked out of the house due to which the Speaker NA had to adjourn the sessiontill the completion of quorum. However the session resumed after 35 and  counting was again made and still the quorum remained incomplete and required 86 members for the completion of quorum could not be attained as
only 62 treasury members were present in the house compelling the Speaker to adjourn the session till Monday evening.Ch Amir Hussain expressing disappointment at the breaking of quorum in his observation said that it is the responsibility of the government to complete the quorum and therefore he should not be criticized in this respect as he cannot continue the session without completion of the quorum.
He said that MNA's who are present in Islamabad should have come, he  added that there are 201 treasury members out of which if only ministers,parliamentary secretaries and Chairmen Standing Committees come the quorum is completed. He said that there is no reason for such a situation and the governmentshould have completed the quorum.In utter disappointment the speaker adjourned the session till 5:00 pm Monday.
