MMA protests over Govt's handling of Nawab Akbar's body

ISLAMABAD, September 01 (Online): Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) has severely protested in National Assembly Friday over not handing over the body of Nawab Akbar Bugti to his heirs and remarks of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Sher Afgan Niazi against the late Bugti.
MMA after recording their protest pointed out the quorum and the Speaker due to lack of quorum adjourned the session until completion of
quorum. Members of Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) did not attend the session while MMA members after pointing out the quorum left the House and treasury members were unable to respond to opposition's allegations.Earlier, criticizing the government's on handling the situation, emerging after the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti, Liaqat Baloch of MMA said that the body is not being handed over to the heirs and the government is exploiting the issue.
MMA leader while condemning the inhuman behavior of Government after killing of Bugti, said that that policy would only deteriorate the
situation. He said that the session was to be prorogued on August 31st but it did not adjourned, he added.Liaqat Baloch said that the meeting of House Business Committee should had been extended after convening, adding that we have decided not to
be the part of that proceedings. He also added that the decisions of Advisory Committee are being violated and if decisions of committee would not be implemented then we would not attend the meeting, he added. He said that sons of Nawab Akbar Bugti have contacted us and informed us that body is not being handed over to them. Liaqat Baloch asked Speaker to take notice of the issue and intervene into the matter to make sure handing over of the body to heirs. Meanwhile Treasury member from South Punjab, Ali Akbar Venus during the
interval of the adjournment of session, made the environment of the House sad while he became emotional over the killing of Punjabis in
Balochistan.  Ali Akbar Venus while leaving the House threatened to observe the hunger strike outside of the House but later treasury members succeeded to convince him back in the House.
