President Musharraf confers Nishan-i-Imtiaz on Gen. Hussein of Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf Thursday conferred the award of Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) on Lieutenant General Hussein bin Abdullah, Commander, Royal Saudi Land Forces at a special investiture ceremony here. Lieutenant General Hussain bin Abdullah is an accomplished military commander with many sterling qualities. He has played a significant role in promoting and strengthening the bonds of goodwill and cooperation between the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The President conferred the award of Nishan-i-Imtiaz on him in recognition of his professional achievements and endeavours for strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Armed Forces of the two countries. Earlier Lieutenant General Hussain bin Abdullah called on President Musharraf. During the call, the President recalled the extremely close and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and lauded his services in giving a meaningful and purposeful orientation to these ties. Lieutenant general Hussein bin Abdullah thanked the Government of Pakistan for conferring the prestigious award on him. The ceremony was attended by Federal Ministers, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Services Chiefs, Vice Chief of Army Staff, senior civil and military officers and other distinguished guests.
