Shamim for reviving public confidence in Post office department

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Communication Shamim Siddiqui on Thursday underlined the need to restore the confidence of masses in General Post Office besides providing better facilities to employees in order to achieve the objectives.

The Chairman of Pakistan Post briefed the Minister about vision of Pakistan Post to meet the challenge of 21st century, with clear objectives to make post as hub of commercial and social activities. He aimed at concerting post into customer’s friendly, self sustainable and modern organisation of 21st century.
The chairman Director General gave detailed presentation about the new vision and twenty two goals and targets set to transform post into a vibrant organisation. The Federal Minister appreciated the initiatives of Director General Pakistan Post to launch new courier services.
The Minister advised the DG to fully explore business potential of post by creating an atmosphere where consumers can get better services. The Minister for State, Secretary and other senior officers of Ministry of Communication and Pakistan Post also attended the meeting.
