Soldier killed in ambush
NORTH WAZIRISTAN—Some veiled unidentified insurgents in an ambush gunned
down a Frontier Corps trooper in Mir Ali, sources said here Thursday.
Haider Ali, lost his life when an FC convey, while patrolling the area,
came under attack by the insurgents. The FC troops returned fire but the
insurgents made their escape good into the nearby mountains, the sources
said. Taking prompt action the political administration of North
Waziristan Agency held Rappi tribe responsible for the incident and
apprehended its 9 persons, besides sealing over two dozen shops
belonging to the tribe.
A massive crackdown has been launched to arrest the real culprits by
clamping down security in the area. Meanwhile, a head less body of a
person was found at Anfra village, near Mianshah, whose body was later
shifted to Miranshah Town committee. The deceased was identified as
‘King’ belonged to Khail Khalji tribe in Khost Afghanistan. A written
statement was also found besides the beheaded body reading “Friends of
Jews and Christian and puppets of United States would have to face
