Awards’ ceremony of young doctors held

RAWALPINDI—A Certificate and Medals Award Ceremony of the young doctors was held at Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute here today. Surgeon General Pakistan Army and Director General Medical Services Lieutenant General Syed Afzal Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing on the occasion Lieutenant General Syed Afzal Ahmed congratulated the young doctors who have successfully completed two years arduous training and are fully capable to take the responsibilities as grades specialists. Surgeon General advised the young doctors to show more empathy to the patient’s and-help the sick and disabled. He said sound knowledge, comprehensive training and perfect skills cannot show the results if doctors do not have positive attitude towards the sick. He further said that medical profession demands sacrifice, hard work, truthfulness and dedication from health professionals.
It is worth mentioning here that a total of eighty nine trainee doctors including four civilians attended the course and all of them qualified the course.
Later, Surgeon General distributed certificates and medals among the participants. The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior military officers.—ISPR
