IGP for improving traffic system on modern grounds

ISLAMABAD—IGP Islamabad; Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry has said that in order to improve the traffic system on modern grounds, it was essential that the cops serve their duties with total conviction and responsibility and deal with citizens in positive manner and with respect. IGP stated these views while briefing the Traffic Cops, here this Thursday.
According to details, IGP Islamabad; Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry visited the Traffic Office, here this Thursday. SSP Traffic; Sultan Azam Temuri gave a detailed briefing on Model Traffic Police, at the occasion. SP Traffic; Halena Iqbal Saeed, ASP Traffic; Ahmad Jamal Rehman, DSP Traffic; Hassan Raza Shah along various other cop officers, were present at the occasion. During the meeting, facilities being extended to Traffic Cops in par with those for the Motorway Cops and the aims for it, were thoroughly reviewed for which the formal notification was issued just a day ago. IGP Islamabad; Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry, later, addressing the Traffic Cops, stated that in order to make Capital Traffic Cops a Model force, the government has decided to give them special incentives according to which it had become the responsibility of the Traffic Cops to play their due role in satisfying the government as well as citizens through helping both in their various efforts. He urged the Traffic Cops to improve on modern grounds in order to attain the place in the society which they are expected of.
IGP Islamabad; Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry said that Traffic Education Campaign would be started from 2nd January which would go on for a month and through which, the masses would be made aware of traffic rules. During this time, challans would not be issued on routine road violations but the citizens would be educated instead. In the end, IGP hoped that very soon the traffic system would be improved to such an extent that Traffic Cops would present a model for cops countrywide.
