Indian officials satisfied with security measures

ISLAMABAD—Indian Interior Ministry Inspector General of Security Ishwar Dhan Azad along with members of his delegation Wednesday met Secretary Interior Ministry Kamal Shah and other high officials regarding security arrangements for mega Pak-India series starting next month.
The delegation expressed full satisfaction over security arrangements in Pakistan for the long-awaited Pak-India series.
The five member delegation led by Ishwar Dhan Azad opine that India has no problem what so ever to play anywhere in Pakistan as they are completely content with security arrangements for the series.
He formally told Pakistani officials that India will play in all the scheduled venues of test and One dayers.
Spokesman of Interior Minister further told Online that Indian delegation visited all the venues and are satisfied with all our arrangements. On the other hand, Secretary Interior Kamal Shah told Indian delegation that fool proof security measures would be taken for the safety of Indian players in Pakistan.
“All the matches will be played under amid security conditions. Besides police, rangers and other law enforcement agencies will be on a high alert”, he underlined.
He further added that Pakistan government would issue 10, 000 visas on the visit of Indian team to Pakistan, which will be for 8,000 spectators and 2,000 VIP personalities.
On the other hand, special counter will be set up at Wagah Border.
APP adds: A 6-member Security Delegation from India visited Ministry of Interior today and discussed security arrangements for the forthcoming Pakistan-India Cricket series.
The Indian delegation led by Mr. Yashvordhan Azad was given a detailed briefing on the security measures planned for the cricket series and expressed satisfaction over the proposed security measures.
The delegation was informed that instructions had already been issued by Ministry of Interior to the Home Departments in the Provinces to ensure all security steps for the safety and protection of BCCI team and officials during their visit to Pakistan.
The Indian security delegation also called on Syed Kamal Shah, Secretary Interior and exchanged views with him about the security measures for the forthcoming cricket series.
On the occasion, Syed Kamal Shah said a proof security measures would be made for protection of players and Indian visitors and in this connection and that relevant security agencies had prepared security planned. The officials of PCB were also present in the meeting.
