Abrar stitches 16 quake survivor couples in nuptial bonds

ISLAMABAD—A simple yet impressive ceremony was organized by Sahara For
Life Welfare Trust, to tie nuptial bonds between 16 quake victim
couples, residing in Balakot. The Trust Chairman; Abrar-ul-Haq, at the
occasion, gifted completely furnished houses to the newly married
couples, at the occasion. The homes made of steel and fibreglass contain
bedrooms carrying blankets and various other items of daily use along
attached washroom facilities. The brides and grooms were also provided
with cash and dowry on behalf of Abrar-ul-Haq, as Salami.
The ceremony of combined marriages was attended by over 1000 guests
along a large number of personnel of Pakistan Army and media friends.
All the guests were given a warm welcome reception by Sahara For Life
Trust. Speaking at the occasion, the Trust Chairman; Abrar-ul-Haq stated
that Sahara for Life Trust was one with the quake victims and felt the
joys and sorrows of them with their own hearts. He held that life was
beginning to brim from debris of death while hoping that joy would
resurface in the quake-hit areas.
He assured that Sahara for Life Trust would continue it's relief efforts
for a vast period of time while the Executive Directive of the Trust;
Major Israr-ul-Haq(Rtd.) said that the NGO, since 18 October, was
engaged in providing shelter and disseminating relief aid in quake-hit
areas like Balakot, Muzafarrabad, Bagh, Hangrai, Garhi Dopatta and
Neelam Valley, respectively. He said that the relief efforts would be on
till the complete rehabilitation of quake survivors. He urged the
philanthropists all around to help Sahara for Life Trust in giving
shelter to the quake victims, with open hearts. The newly married
couples, while expressing their views at the occasion, that they were
very glad by seeing Abrar-ul-Haq at their weddings. In the end,
Abrar-ul-Haq announced to give fibreglass and steel room' gift to
Balakot Press Club. |
