Scrutiny of hockey clubs would commence soon: PHF
LAHORE—The scrutiny of hockey clubs will commence throughout Pakistan
from December 20 and end on January 5, 2006, says a PHF news release
issued here Friday.
It said that to ensure impartial, transparent and fair scrutiny process,
the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has issued the following criteria
that Provincial coordinators shall distribute scrutiny forms to the
clubs in the districts. The date/place/venue/ground where the scrutiny
shall be held would be notified by the Coordinator in each district.
All the Clubs should present their 14 players along with their
photograph on the prescribed Form. The players should be from 14 to 40
years of age out of whom not more than 3 would be above 30 years. The
players and the goal keepers should be in proper kit. The officials for
scrutiny can ask the clubs to play a short match to ascertain their
genuineness as hokey players of they can ask questions to know their
knowledge of the game. Any club not fulfilling the criteria would be
scratched.
The officials for scrutiny will thoroughly investigate issues like
change of office-bearers of any club in view of death, resignation or
removal of previous office-bearer. Their clearance would be made upon
the approval of Provincial Coordinators.
In case of any dispute in any district the coordinators will constitute
a Committee, separately, to conduct scrutiny.
Those clubs which are in the official record of the PHF but are not
registered should bring evidence of their past years game activity for
the satisfaction of scrutiny officials. Such Clubs would also present
their players in proper kit before the officials.
The PHF have also opened its doors for the new clubs who are not
registered earlier. They would be given one year registration on
probation after fulfilling the above-mentioned criteria and
recommendation by the scrutiny officials through the Provincial
Coordinators.
The officials appointed for scrutiny are strictly directed to remain
impartial and carry out their work without any fear. If they feel any
hindrance in their work they can seek assistance from secretary phf the
respective provincial/district hockey associations.
“Soon after the completion of scrutiny of clubs the elections of
district hockey associations would be held. The dates of these elections
would be notified by the Provincial Coordinator in each district, the
