PAF’s All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation contest held

ISLAMABAD—This year All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest was held at PAF Academy Risalpur from 13 to 16 December, 2005. The talented youth of 30 premier institutions from all across the country participated in the contest. Air Chief Marshal Kaleem Saadat, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The First prize in Urdu was awarded to Mr Muhammad Attiq of Govt Islamia College, Civil Lines, Lahore, where as the second prize was bagged by Mr Waqar Raza of PAF Public School, Sargodha. The first Prize in English was won by Mr Sameer Ahmed of Govt College University, Lahore, where as the second prize was bagged by Mr Shahid lqbal of Sir Syed University of Engg & Tech, Karachi & Mr Jawad Tahir of PAF Public School, Lower Topa. The consolation prize was awarded to Mr Mudassar of FC College Lahore.
The coveted trophy of the All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2005 was won by the team of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi. The declamation was followed by a colorful stage show presented by the Academy Dramatics Club.
The declamation has been a regular feature on the academic training calendar of the Academy since 1974. The declamation contest over the years has become prestigious event for leading Colleges and` Universities of the country.—DPR(Air)
