Iranian FM calls on President

RAWALPINDI—Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki Thursday called on President General Pervez Musharraf and discussed enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and other issues of common interest. It was agreed during the meeting that bilateral agreements should be implemented for strengthening trade and economic cooperation.
President Musharraf said the two countries have a vast scope for expanding bilateral commercial ties and stand to gain mutually from increase in trade and economic cooperation. Their discussion also covered regional and international issues of common concern.
Online adds: Reiterating Pakistan’s stance that lingering Iran nuclear standoff should be settled through negotiations, President General Pervez Musharraf on Thursday made it clear Islamabad would oppose any attack on Iran.
