FC Chief, Deputy injured in miscreants’ attack

ISLAMABAD—Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC), Balochistan Major General Shujaat Zamir Dar and Deputy Inspector General Frontier Corps (DIGFC) Balochistan Brigadier Saleem Nawaz were injured when their helicopter was fired upon on Thursday near Kohlu in Balochistan.
According to a ISPR press release, some miscreants at about 11.00 am targeted their helicopter when they were on a routine flight near Kohlu.
However, the helicopter landed safely at Kohlu.
Both the injured officers were immediately evacuated to Combined Military Hospital, Quetta where they were operated upon.
Their condition is stated to be stable, the release said.
As per report Major General Shujaat Zamir Dar and his DIG were on a routine flight in a helicopter of Frontier Corps near Kohlu, when some unknown miscreants resorted to unprovoked firing with automatic weapons from the ground.
