Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee meeting held

RAWALPINDI—Meeting of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was held Monday at Joint Staff Headquarters, which was attended by the Services Chiefs, Secretary Defence and other members of the Armed Forces.
The Committee was apprised about the latest domestic, regional and global situation. Important aspects of national defense and security were deliberated.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee welcomed new Chief of Naval Staff and appreciated the contribution of Admiral (Retd) Shahid Karim Ullah in creating joint ness amongst three services. He also appreciated the efforts of all three services in relief and rehabilitation efforts. The Committee reiterated that all endeavors will be made to ensure smooth and quick rehabilitation process. Fatiha was also offered for the precious lives lost due to earthquake.—ISPR
