President, PM satisfied with OIC Summit outcome

RAWALPINDI—President General Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have expressed satisfaction over the outcome of third extraordinary summit of Organisation of Islamic conference noting that certain important proposals of Pakistan on socio-economic development of Muslim Ummah have been incorporated in Mecca declaration. Both the leaders, in their meeting here Saturday reiterated country’s resolve to extend full support to implementation of OIC 10 years action plan designed to boost development in the field of science and meteorology and social and economic sectors in member countries. Prime Minister congratulated the president on the pivotal role played by Pakistan to contribute to the efforts for restructuring of OIC and making it dynamic and vibrant body for the sake of sustained development in Muslim countries. Both the leaders appreciated the efforts of King Abdullah aimed to address the problems facing the Muslim Ummah and curbing the menace of terrorism and extremism.
