Lahore, Amritsar trial bus to run today

ISLAMABAD—Amritsar-Lahore bus service will start from India side on December 11 while a bus from Pakistan will leave for India on December 13. According to details India has announced that a trial bus service between India and Pakistan is being started which will connect Punjab province of the two countries.
The bus service was going to started in October but due to the devasting earthquake it was delayed. Both the countries started first service between Lahore and new Delhi in 1999 but after an alleged attack on Indian Parliament in 2001 it was stopped. The bus service was again started in 2003. A second bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad was started in this year.
According to a statement to a Indian External Ministry, the fourth bus service will be started in on December 21 which will links Sikhs religious place Nankana Sahib with Amritsar. On the other hand, Federal Minister for Railways, Shamim Haider has said that Khokrapar-Monabao train service is being started from January 8.—Online
