Police beats Wapda in National Volleyball C’ship

ISLAMABAD—Defending champions Police Friday beat Wapda to clinched the title of 41st National Volleyball Champion in the final played here at the Liaqut Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex.
Police won the final match by 3-1. The score was 25-21, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-14.
Naseer Ahmed, Kashif Mansoor and Zman Butt played outstanding for Police while from Wapda Irfan Nawaz, Abdul Rahim and Liaqut Yar Khan gave superb performances.
“I am really impressed by the performances of all the spikers and we have also found some new talent, the Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation told reporters after witnessing the final match.
Besides the winning and runners up trophy special cash awrtads were also given to the players. Liaquat Yar Khan (Best Libro), Muhammad Zaman Butt (Best setter), Zafar Kouria (Best Blocker), Naseer Ahmed (Best Spiker), Servand Singh (Best Server), Ehsan Tipu and Abdul Rahim (Best National Volunteers), Kashif Mansoor (Most Valuable player).
