NATO rules out political aims

ISLAMABAD—NATO neither has any political intentions nor it will stay even a single day than agreed with Pakistan government. This was stated by Bogdan Marczwski Poland ambassador and Birgadier General J. A. Bautis Otero Deputy Chief of Staff of NATO relief organization in Bagh on Friday.
The Ambassador of Poland paid a visit to Polish contingent deployed in Arja, Bagh. 150 physicians and engineers have been stationed in Arja according with decision of Polish Defence ministry as NATO member country. The Ambassador was received by Lt. Col. Rosa Pedro Vallespin Gomez, media chief of NATO relief mission and Ashique Hamdani chief executive of European Institute of Culture Investment.
The Ambassador was briefed by Brig. General Mr. JA Bautis Otero deputy chief of Staff of NATO relief. Later, addressing a meeting in Bagh, the ambassador said that political decision are taken by higher authorities in Pakistan and NATO officials with mutual understanding and local NATO staff has nothing to do with political decisions. He said that NATO will complete its task by 21 February 2006, adding that NATO is ready to stay till the completion of rehabilitation and reconstruction process if Pakistan government requested.
