President leaves for ME today

ISLAMABAD—President General Pervez Musharraf will leave on visits to
Kuwait, Yemen and Saudi Arabia on Saturday (today). During the first leg
of his tour, President Musharraf will arrive in Kuwait. He will meet
Amir of Kuwait and discussed with him host of issues relating to
bilateral interests of both countries.
According to Foreign Office spokesman, Kuwait is investing $245 million
on seven projects in Pakistan and the visit of President Musharraf is
thus significant as trade relations will further blossom between the two
countries. In the second leg of his tour, President Musharraf will visit
Yemen. He will meet host of leaders and discussed with them number of
issues concerning mutual interests. In the third leg of his tour,
Musharraf will visit Saudi Arabia on December 7 where he will
participate in two-day OIC Summit in Makkah Mukarma. President Musharraf
will address in the conference. The conference will discuss various
issues like Palestine, Kashmir, Bosnia, Chechnaya, elimination of
terrorism from the world and other challenges faced by Muslim Ummah. |
