Cops nab accused involved in looting incident

ISLAMABAD—Capital Cops have arrested culprits wanted in robbery at Dr.Gulfraz’s residence, while recovering stolen valuables, respectively. The accused had injured the doctor and his young boy, after looting them.
According to details, on 20th November, ex-chairman of OGDCL and NEPRA, ex-secretary petroleum and natural resources while currently serving as member National Finance Commision of Pakistan; Dr.Gulfraz had gone to Canthela Hills with his 20-year old son; Haider Gulfraz. As they were returning through the mud path within jungle area of Shah Allahditta Canthella, two culprits snatched away their cell phone and cash while injuring them by firing at them. Thus, the two were taken to PIMS in critical condition.
Undertaking the magnitude of the said case, on the special directives of IGP Islamabad, SSP Islamabad formulated a team comprising of SHO Inspector Arshad Ali Khokhar, SI Muhammad Shafiq, SI Muhammad Ilyas, SI Muhammad Ashraf, ASI Abdul Hafeez, HC Muhammad Saleem, HC Muhammad Afzal, C Zulfiqar and C Muhammad Iqbal, which, through day and night efforts, nabbed Barkhuddar alias Baro, S/O Alhi, resident of Canthela, under PS Janpur jurisdiction area, NWFP and Raja Zahoor, S/O Matloob, resident of Rajabad Nazad, British Home, Rawalpindi, along 44-bore riffle and 30-bore pistol, respectively. Snatched cash and cell phone were also recovered, while further investigation is underway.
SSP Islamabad, while appreciating the performance of the investigating team, has announced certificates of appreciation along cash prizes for them.
