PIA launches E-ticketing for better customer comfort

ISLAMABAD—For enhanced customer convenience and comfort, PIA has
introduced E-ticketing at major domestic stations Islamabad,
Karachi,Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur and Faisalabad.
E-ticket will enable customers to have swift issuance of tickets by our
services available at dedicated PIA counters at airport and Booking
Offices. Electronic ticketing is essentially a paperless storage of
travel entitlement where pertinent information resides in real time.
Therefore, our passengers will face fewer frustrations with lost
tickets. Exchanges, refunds, pickup/send of paper documents and airport
check-in.
Subsequently this facility will be available throughout our domestic and
international network. This is also an arrangement that has been made in
conformity with IATA Regulations, which makes it mandatory for airlines
to go on 100% e-ticketing by the end of year 2007.

cutting Ribbon at PIA Booking Office, Islamabad on Thursday. |
