Planning underway for World Cup ’07: Shahryar

FAISLABAD—Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan has said that PCB is taking down to earth for the preparations of 2007 World Cup and comprehensive strategies are being chalked out.
While talking to Online, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahriyar Khan said that according to planned strategy, before the World Cup, set of 15 best players will be selected and will be given training and prepared in accordance with the prestigious World Cup 2007.
The players will be given strenuous training both physically and medically to toughen them and make them stronger to compete with the best in the world.
He said that PCB is taking all the available steps to groom players before World Cup 2007 and in this regard, Bio Mechanic Lab has been set up in National Academy that will further enhance the techniques of players.
Replying to a question, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan that the recent Super Pacers campaign turned out to be splendid as ten fast bowlers came in the light from different cities who could be useful in future under the aegis of a private company.
He said that PCB are looking after the fast bowlers and full training would be given as the step proved to be quite fruitful.
He further added that a detailed presentation has been given to President Musharraf regarding PCB’s steps and strategies in the preparations of World Cup 2007 and he lauded PCB for all its efforts while underlined that maximum support will be provided.—Online
