8 arrested, illicit arms recovered

ISLAMABAD—Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose against thieves, nabbed 8 culprits involved in snatching mobiles at gunpoint along other thieves while recovering snatched cell phones and illicit arms, respectively.
According to details, PS Aabpara nabbed 6 culprits, involved in snatching cell phones at gunpoint. The arrested include Sakmamad Abbasi, Abdul Rauf, Muneer Khan, Nadeem Qaiser, who had snatched away cell phone worth Rs.5,000 of Mehmood-ur-Rehman, resident of G-7/1, at gunpoint and fled away in car RIZ/4045. The cops received a tip and nabbed the accused, respectively. Illicit arms along 7 bullets were recovered from the accused as well.
PS Golra, on the other hand, got a tip that Muhammad Nadeem, Aamir Shahzad, Barkhuddar, Mazhar Mehmood, Muhammad Tanweer, Zardar, Raja Zahoor and Shahzad were sitting around, with the intention of robbery. The place was instantly raided which led to the arrest of Muhammad Nadeem, Aamir Shahzad, Barkhuddar and Mazhar Mehmood.
During investigation, illicit arms including 30-bore pistol along 8 bullets, were recovered from Muhammad Nadeem, a 30-bore pistol along 5 bullets from Aamir Shehzad while a 32-bore revolver along 6 bullets was recovered from Barkhuddar. Further investigations are underway. An investigation team has been sent out for the arrest of others.
SSP Islamabad; Sikander Hyatt has announced certificates of appreciation for cop officers, in this regard.
