Pir Naqib highlights need for adopting simplicity
By Saad Ahmed

RAWALPINDI—Simplicity, tolerance, equality and justice are the characteristics without which one cannot claim to be the true follower and lover of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
“We make tall claim of being the champions of simplicity but the desire for show off and duplicity is deep-rooted in our hearts”, said Pir Muhammad Naqib-ur-Rehman, custodian of Eidgah shrine, while addressing weekly Dars-e-Hadith congregation at Eidgah Sharif here Sunday.
The custodian of Eidgah shrine said that majority of people exhaust a major part of their lives in vindictive measures and evolving ploys to subdue others. He said that if, as a proof of love for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), people adopt the habit of forgiving others, the situation would improve a lot in the country. He said if the same principle were adhered to at a vast scale, the whole world would become a hub of peace.
“Quarrelling over petty differences does not match with the dignity of a Muslim. It is the need of the hour that we enlighten our hearts with the love for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and shatter the idols of hatred, discrimination, sectarianism and terrorism”, Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman said.
“Muslims must promote brotherhood and harmony among themselves as the survival of humanity and accomplishment of all the high moral and social values is closely linked to the love for the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)”, he stressed.
Pir Naqib-ur-Rehman said that for their security, unity and solidarity, all the Muslims must strengthen their bond with the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) by truly following the teachings of Islam, which is a religion of peace and harmony.
In the end, the custodian of Eidgah shrine prayed for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, progress, prosperity and security of Pakistan, early rehabilitation of the October 8 quake victims and liberation of Kashmir, Palestine, Chechnya and other occupied territories of Muslims.
