NATO troops withdrawal demanded
PESHAWAR—President Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal and Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami,
Qazi Hussain Ahmad has alleged the United States and North Atlantic
Treaty Organization (NATO) of spying in the pretext of relief operation
in the earthquake affected areas of NWFP and Azad Kashmir and has
demanded the immediate evacuation of these forces from Pakistan.
Presence of foreign troops in Pakistan is a security risk for the
country that is why we cannot tolerate it at any cost, he said while
addressing Congregation at Al-Markaz-e-Islami here on Friday.
He said that JI would soon fall the government by creating awareness
among the nation about its anti-state policies to save the country.
He said that the proposals presented by the opposition to the government
in connection with relief and rehabilitation operation was test case for
the rulers saying if the government did not response to their proposals
positively it would mean that the government was not sincere in the
operation.
He expressed his disappointment over the ungenerous aid and donations
provided by the rich western countries to the earthquake victims of
Pakistan. However, he appreciated the more generous support and aid
granted by developing Muslim countries despite of being backward and
poor.
He said that the efforts and donations contributed by the nation in the
relief operation were exemplary and unprecedented. He added that the
revival and rehabilitation of quake affected areas was the utmost
responsibility of the nation and hoped that it would meet the challenge.
He asked the nation to pressurize rulers for transparent use of
President Relief Fund (PRF).—INP
