No Govt-sponsored delegation sent to Israel: FO

ISLAMABAD—The Government of Pakistan Friday denied any association or sponsorship of a visit by Pakistani delegation to Israel and its engagements there.
Regarding the visit of an unofficial delegation from Pakistan to Israel, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Government of Pakistan had not sent or sponsored the visit by any delegation to Israel.
An official delegation from Pakistan was scheduled to visit Gazza and the West Bank in November 2005. The visit, however, was postponed alon gwith other official or officially sponsored visits abroad in the wake of 8th October earthquake, she added.
As regards the reported visit by a delegation headed by Ajmal Qadri, there was no Government of Pakistan’s sponsorship, she said and added the delegation might have gone on its own.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had no association with or information about this delegation, she concluded.
