South Asian artists trade passion with relief at Nomad

ISLAMABAD—Since 8th October earthquake, masses from all walks and talks of life are doing nothing but collecting funds about working for rehabilitation and relief of quake victims, in one way or the other. Thus Nomad Art Center’s directress who is also a human rights’ activist; Nageen Hyatt, decided to host an exhibition, collaborating artists from Pakistan as well as Bangladesh, which’s earnings would go as relief for the earthquake affectees.
Thus an exhibition featuring over 100 artists from Pakistan and Bangladesh, comprising of paintings, sculptures and graphic art, opened at Nomad Art Centre, here this Thursday. The calligraphy, floral messages, exotic landscapes, pictures depicting hardcore realities and bitter truth about life, hence passion of the artists in various forms, would be traded as relief for quake victims as the earnings of the fundraiser would go to Edhi Foundation.
The opening of the exhibit was widely attended by a large number of foreigners, diplomats, art lovers and masses from all walks and talks of life. Moreover, for all those who missed the event, the exhibit would remain open till 27th November!
