Three accused confess Karachi bomb blast

KARACHI—The Investigation Capital City Police arrested on Wednesday night three alleged accused involved in PIDC bomb blast and recovered explosives from their possession.
According to a statement issued by the Incharge CRO/Investigation, Capital City Police Karachi, immediately after the blast, the secret intelligence network was alerted throughout the city to arrest the culprits. Last night police received a tip that accused are in a car No AJE-056 and attempting to escape from Karachi.
On this information the Investigation-I started a city wide checking and intercepted the car at Gulshan Chowrangi at 3-30 p.m.
Police said that a search of car resulted in the recovery of one Kalashnikov, two TT pistols, two hand grenades and explosive material.
Police arrested three persons identified as Aziz Khan Baluch, Mengla Khan and Jabbar Khan Baluch.
During initial investigation, the accused confessed to have carried out the blast.
Police said the accused belong to Baluchistan Group and they are being interrogated about motives of bomb blast, the master mind and other terrorists involved.
