LAHORE—Hassan Nawaz, son of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, is suffering from certain brain and nervous system disorder and not from brain cancer as reported in the press. This was stated by Dr Saeed Elahi.
Dr Saeed, who recently travelled to Saudi Arabia and met Nawaz Sharif, said that the former prime minister was visibly upset by the press coverage about the nature of his younger son’s ailment.
According to diagnoses by consultants and MRI reports, Hassan was suffering from multiple sclerosis, which indicated a weakness of the nervous system and the brain, which could temporally affect the gait and vision of the patient.—Online
