APMA Chairman announces week-long mourning

ISLAMABAD—Chairman all Pakistan Minorities Alliance Shahbaz Bhatti strongly condemn the violence against Christians and burning of Churches, schools, convent, hostel and shops in Sangla Hill and announces one week mourning and protest.
Shahbaz Bhatti in his speech on Sunday at a combined prayer and gathering of Christians at Sangla Hill said that Christian’s Churches and Schools were put on fire and about 500 Holy Bibles and other religious books were also set ablaze. This situation is a secretarial terrorism and the responsible of this act must be put to justice.
He said that Sangla Hill violence is one of the country biggest tragedy and we demand to Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and CM Punjab Ch Pervez Elahi to visit this area and the debris will not be clear from there until and unless the culprits not put on to justice.
He said that this tragedy was done in a planned way and a special material was used for fire.
Shahbaz Bhatti said that if government ignores this tragedy then we will be forced to use some other appropriate steps. He said that a Christian person Yousaf Masih who set responsible in this area is innocent and his opponents have sent these baseless issues due to some personal clash of money dispute.
He said that all Pakistan minorities alliance ask government that a high level judicial commission should be made to investigate all this tragedy and put culprits to justice. He said that minorities all over Pakistan observe one week mourning and also considering for country wide strike call.
