Balloting of I-15 flats on 24th
ISLAMABAD—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would hold computer
balloting for 1-15 flats and plots on November 24, it is learnt.
Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari said that CDA has received 3 and half lakh
application for 8000 plots and nine thousand applications for 5500 flats
respectively. The CDA will allot 8000 plots ranging between 139 to 200
square yards, and two-bedroom 5500 flats, each covering an area of 1,300
square feet, to the successful applicants. The lists of the successful
candidates will be displayed outside the designated braches of Habib
Bank soon after the ballot, said a CDA official.
He said I-15 would be developed in almost three years, and plots and
flats would be allotted to the owners once the development work is
completed.
Prime minister Shaukat Aziz recently launched I-15 for low-income groups
after a delay of almost 17 years. The scheme is launched to provide
houses to government employees from Grade 1 to 16 and people with annual
incomes not exceeding Rs 150,000, who neither owned nor had been
allotted a residential plot, house or flat in Islamabad in their name or
in the name of their spouse or children.
The CDA has reserved 25 per cent of plots and flats for government
servants including employees of autonomous bodies and 29 per cent for
armed forces personnel. Successful applicants who had paid 25 per cent
of total cost of the plot or flat at the time of form submission, would
have to pay 25 per cent at the time of allotment and remaining 50 per
cent in the next six months.—Online |
