China to participate in Pak donors’ moot

BEIJING—China will send a high-level delegation to Pakistan on November 19 to attend international donors conference that aimed at seeking more aid for the earthquake victims. We wish to play our positive role in rehabilitation and reconstruction work in the quake-affected areas, said a spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Jianchao here Thursday. He told APP that China has dispatched its 10th batch of emergency disaster relief goods to Islamabad Wednesday night. It has shipped all the emergency disaster relief goods and equipments, including 4,674 tents, 24,000 bed quilts, 24,000 padded mattress, 9,200 blankets, 24,000 bed sheets and 900 power generating units. The goods and equipment weigh 800 tons. China has offered 26.73 million US dollars worth of materials, cash and medical services in three batches to Pakistan after a powerful earthquake on Oct. 8. A total of 1,911 tons of relief goods have been airlifted to Pakistan from China by 24 planes since then, he added.
