Sikh Yatrees visit Melody Relief Center

ISLAMABAD—A delegation of sikh community from United States who is on yatra at (Punja Sahib Hasanabdal), comprising of more than 40 members, headed by veteran Sikh leader; Talwook Singh and Rishpal Singh, visited Melody Relief & Rehabilitation Unit, here on Wednesday and presented a handsome amount of two lakh rupees to in charge relief Mrs Nafeesa Anayat-ullah Khatak. 29 unmarried female patients are admitted at the said camp. This centre started from 15th Oct 2005 and has so far received more than hundred female patients whose spines are broken and cannot move, due to serious pain through injuries during last month earthquake at Muzaffarabad, AJK.
More than 630 female patient lost their hope when they informed that there lower part can not move due to spinel injury. Mostly patient are unmarried in the age group of 16 to 35 year old. "This is very painful for us that these female patient are in critical condition." We are trying for there habilitation said Dr. Rubina.
"The sikh delegation spend more than one hour alonge with patient spent show their sympathy and pray for their health." This is great disaster rather than "Tsunami" we are here to see the patients from Punja sahib when we listened about these girls said Sardar talook singh leader of the delegation. At this occasion Sardar Rishpal singh said, we will collect funds in united states after going back, because we can only help like this poor people to give some cash for rehabilitation. Alonge with the delegation a number of ladies were included in the visiting delegation. "we can only pray for this pretty girl pointed out one of the patient named Nujma by Ms. Manojoit Kaur" she further added that this is a great disaster and we will appeal all the sikh community to send their fund in this regard. At this occasion the Incharge Ms Nafeesa Anayat-ullah khatak brief the delegation about their Melody relief and rehabilitation centre for earthquake victims.
She said we need more help for NGO'S . We are providing "psychothraphy" physiotheraphy and other physical exercise for the rehabilitation. She worried the feature of young patients who are in spinel and back problem. "Who will marry with this girls. We want to save their future, so we are trying to rehabilitation and giving some skilled assistance to become a useful member of the society. At this occasion many heart touching seen were observed. Young girl aged 17 year named Nujma became crying and told her father is on the bed and mother lost her sense. She is only head of the family and always thinking about eight brothers and sister who also lost their home and hope in this disaster, and appealed to sikh delegation and international community to support in this regard.
