Court freezes Margalla Towers’ builders accounts

ISLAMABAD—A Session Court has frozen the bank accounts of the owner Ramzan Khokhar, the architect Dr. Hafiz Sheikh and the engineer Azhar Mehmood Qurieshi, of the ill-fated Margalla Towers, whose wing collapsed during the worst ever quake to hit Pakistan on the morning of 08th October 2005.
The Session Judge Islamabad, Rafi-uddin, issued his comprehensive directives in accordance with the petition filed by SHO of Shalimar Police Station.
The Federal police presented the court with all the details of accounts of the accused, including their company, CCC Associates accounts.
It has also submitted details of six accounts of the architect Hafiz Sheikh.
However, the federal police has failed to obtain any details of the account of engineer Azhar Muhammad Qureshi.
