Govt appoints officials for 5 LoC crossing points

ISLAMABAD—Government of Pakistan has designated five officials as authorities for the five crossing points at Line of Control here on Tuesday. The announcement was made following the agreement between Pakistan and India on 29 October 2005 regarding the opening of five crossing points across the LoC. The designated authorities for the five crossing points are at Tithwal-Tangdhar point Raja Tariq Mehmood Deputy Commissioner Neelum has been nominated, at Chakoti-Uri point Additional Deputy Commissioner Hattian will perform the duty, at Hajipir-Uri point Muhammad Shakeel Assistant Director (Social Welfare) Bagh is given the task, at Rawalakot-Poonch point Dr. Naeem Hussain Jafri, Assistant Director (Animal Husbandry) Rawalakot is the government authority while Khawaja Muhammad Naeem, Assistant Commissioner Kotli has been assigned the job at Tattapani-Mendhar point.
