Sami likely to play first Test: PCB
Bureau Report

LAHORE—Pakistan Cricket Board said here on Wednesday the chances of medium pacer Muhammad Sami to play first Test against England are bright as the bowler is hopefull to recover from the injury intime. “Sami has informed us that he has not a major groin problem it is just a stress which will be normal in few days time and we are confident he will be playing the first Test starting from November 12 at Multan”, said Salim Altaf, Director Cricket Operations, PCB here. He said Sami himself feels that he would be recovered from the injury as there is a lot of time left in the start of the first Test. Sami developed stress in his groin during the four-day trial match at the Gadaffi Stadium last week and also missed the twenty-20 match at the same venue on Sunday. “We will be monitoring his condition on daily basis and we believe the injury is not that serious to keep him away from the first Test”, he asserted. He said they are still awaiting the scan reports of Abdul Razzaq’s elbow and it is premature to say whether he would not be available for the third test against England.
